Prof H Bilal is a consultant Cardiothoracic & Aortovascular surgeon. He provides care at Shifa International Hospital Islamabad and Manchester Royal Infirmary in Manchester. Our specialized surgical team was the first in Pakistan to provide Minimally Invasive Direct Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (MIDCAB) in Pakistan. He also worked at Manchester Royal Infirmary setting advanced complex aortovascular services. We have always ensured that patient safety and quality of care remain our primary concerns. This has allowed us to secure a consistently high rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as well as NHS England & JCIA accreditation at Shifa International Hospital.

Prof Haris Bilal specializes in performing minimally invasive cardiac surgery, also known as ‘keyhole’ heart surgery. These procedures are preferable to conventional open heart surgery, as they minimize risk, pain, and recovery time. However, superior surgical expertise is required to ensure the success of such delicate procedures. Our surgeons have collectively performed over 20,000 cardiac surgeries, while maintaining an exceptionally low mortality rate, making them exceedingly competent at carrying out even the most complex procedures.
